Wednesday Drives

Jim has dementia.  Gigi is struggling to cope with it.  She says it is so hard to be his constant caregiver and to cook him three meals a day.  She is worn out.  My heart aches for her.

Ever since they moved into our ward, we have taken them for an almost weekly drive.

But, now, it has become even more important to Gigi.  She needs an outlet.  And, a listener.  And, a friend.

These pictures are from the last week in September's ride.  IT was an incredibly lovely day and Gigi thanked us over and over.

It's so important to have friends and neighbors....

And, of course, Mike and Loretta joined us in the fun.

I"M so THANKFUL for Family!

...such a great few days with Jeremy and Sayre.....

My dad LOVED to fly.  I never dreamed a son of ours would follow that dream.  Oh, Jeremy, you just make us so happy with all that you have accomplished in your life.  IT hasn't always been easy, but you just cheerfully do it.

And, you are raising an incredible son.  What a kid.  Thanks for the visit.

How a Seven Year Old Sees MOI!

Blake drew these last week.  He said the top one looks most like MOI!

Well, I think so too.

Thanks for the portrait, Blake Thacker.

Dear Friends

 Elaine, Donna, Loretta, Loni

The four good friends.  Elaine and I have been Loretta's and Donna's minsters for many years.

BUT, that stinker, Donna, moved.  Into a lovely new home at SunRiver.

So, that is the end of a long time being together.

Here we are visiting her at her new home.  Such a great memory.

I'm so grateful for good friends.

CHRISTIANITY.....

 ...is comforting,

But NOT COMFORTABLE.

I've been thinking about this statement a lot lately.

Because I so get it and I so agree.

Especially when your family is not oriented to Christianity.

But, I'll keep trying; keep believing; keep hoping.

That my Christianity will become comfortable.

Gotta Love the Grandkids!

Matt Hackworth designed this poster for Kristi and Jordan's band performance.  I gotta say it's very cool because the two on the right look a lot like Kristi and Jordan (Matt's father!)
Last Saturday, Calder decided to give free hugs.  He had some takers, and who wouldn't want to get a hug from this cute tiger?  He's even cuter underneath the mask!

Look at these GREAT grandchildren?!?!?!?  They are just the cutest; in real life  even better.
