Thoughts While thinking.....

I talked to two ladies who had delightful background stories to tell.  I enjoyed it so much.

As I was driving home from talking to those two ladies, I thought about all the people who never ask other people questions.  They totally miss out on these great, interesting stories.  BUT, not everyone has an interest in human interest stories like Allen and I do.  That's okay, BUT, they are missing out, in my opinion.

Dorothy often reminds me how grateful I should be that I still have a husband.  And, I m so very grateful.  Sometimes when I get little annoyed about something, I remind myself of what Dorothy says; BE KIND and BE GRATEFUL because one day you may not have him to be with you.  She tells me it is incredibly lonely.  I'm sure it is.

Thanks for that great reminder, Dorothy, I am very grateful that my husband is still alive and doing so well.

FROM the PAST and the PRESENT....a little sadness in both....

Eight years ago at the St George Temple....2017:

Louise Marchant, Linda Lyle, Rachael Beckstrom, Elaine Barnes, Romi Olson, Jessica Stout, Kristen Stum, Loretta Allam, Loni Hackworth, Emily Mathews...

The sad is that Rachael Beckstrom died of cancer.  AND, the other sad is that Kristen Stum has left the church.  How life changes as the years go by...

NOW TO THE PRESENT:

One day, a friend texted Allen and said that he was planning to go stay at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  He was unable to go as his wife needed surgery and they would not refund the money.  So he invited Allen and me to take his place.  We jumped on board on that, even tho we were both recovering from COVID 19.

We went; it was okay, but we felt the lodge was just so old and rather ghoulish and like no money was being spent to keep it up.  We slept there on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.  We got up very early on Thursday and drove home.  The Lodge on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the day we arrived.  We stayed in a nearby by cabin.

And, then, the day we drove away  - Thursday - THIS HAPPENED:

We ate breakfast on Wednesday morning in this lovely dining room.

We sat in this room on Wednesday evening:

We sat out in these chairs both Tuesday and Wednesday night....

This was on THURSDAY morning, the day we drove away not even knowing this was happening:

TRULY UNBELIEVABLE!

SUMMER FUN with Family and Friends!

4th of July Parade; we had Covid, so we weren't there.  But, the Fisher family was out in full force.
Grandma Jenni with Little Bri; two sweethearts, right there!
I didn't have anything to do with this, but this is our ward group at FSY.  Such a marvelous group of kids and their outstanding leaders.

And, one final picture of the camp I didn't even go to.  (Except via PILLOW!)

Summer is the best - sometimes even when it's 110 degrees!
