We talked our ears off. Great women, those two!
....was a mighty fine day indeed. Lots of family, food, good talks, and being in the presence of truly great people....
Rod is a lawyer and was a JAG (Judge Advocate General) in the Navy. He's widowed and has no desire to marry again because he had the perfect wife. Every Friday he brings home-made chocolate chip cookies. I don't usually have them as I don't stick around long enough. But, they are delicious.
Dee is turning 100 on November 23. He inspires me on a daily basis. He was born in Virginia, Idaho. He drives himself to the gym. And, he comes almost every day. What an inspiration.
Freddie should be the official greeter in every ward...he just is always smiling and yelling out names as people come into the gym. "Good morning, Loni!" he'll boom from clear across the room. "Get busy!" He is a convert to the church and loves the Gospel and his wife and his car. It is spotless with white interior. He is a hard worker in the gym and years ago, I paid him to be my trainer.
These are committed to working out faithfully. There are a couple other regulars, but they weren't there for this photo shoot. But, I do love my gym family. Makes it fun to go.

..and asked us to come over right away for pizza:
She's very delightful. I was glad Allen would go. I'm sure Ulla gets very lonely. So, it was good we could go.
Thanks, Ulla, for thinking of us.
From the Past....
Four generations of GOOD, GOOD women. Including adorable little Kristi D. What a delightful child. And, even more delightful adult. From the Present:
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Allen still being around. Sixty one years later.
FAMILY - a great blessing!
Reading to my family is one of my favorite things to do. It brings me a great deal of pleasure. And, this was just the most delightful. They were engaged, listened, followed.
Two things about the reading event; one is that Scottie insisted on having my arm around her shoulder every time we would start to read. It was so sweet. The next thing - when we had finished reading, Bri took the book out on the front lawn and pretended to read it. She knew the story after one reading; it was so adorable.Oh, what JOY!to do a service project:
Once a month.
They are so faithful.
And, they are so awesome.
