Saying YES, but Meaning NO

My church is a church of volunteers.

We are often asked to do things that we might not really enjoy.

We have the option to say NO.

So, it is always interesting to me when people say they will do the job,

and then they don't.

Why don't they just say NO in the first place?

Then it is easier on everyone.

Don't say YES, if you really mean NO!
